Home Depot Or Lowes

Well let's talk about Home Depot and Lowes Ok, so we have have the Orange store and the Blue store which both have basically the same things, lots of goodies for the home. Both seem to be in competition with each other. Have you ever noticed if you see a Home Depot, right around the corner or across the street there is Lowes, why Is that? Are they both trying to pee on the other? Does the same person or family related own both businesses? Personally I like both the stores however, there are some old faithfuls out there who prefer the Orange over the Blue, or Blue over the Orange. Which one will it be for you?

I have worked for both Home Depot and Lowe's. You may not know this but Home Depot is targeted for the male shopper. Next time you shop at Home Depot think about this and you will see it is true. Lowe's is designed to target the female shopper. Lowe's Stores tend to be cleaner and have more lighting. As far as being close together there is a reason for that. Regardless of which store is first they both do marketing research for the viability of the location. The second store soon follows knowing if it is good enough for the other there is room for both of them.
